Contemporary Australian Classics: A Scene Work Intensive with Sam Strong

To celebrate his long awaited return to Red Stitch, we are  thrilled to present  an exclusive scene work intensive with acclaimed director Sam Strong (Honour).  This rare opportunity invites actors to sharpen their craft while working with iconic texts from some of Australia’s most renowned playwrights, including Joanna Murray-Smith, Andrew Bovell, David Williamson, and Gordon Graham.

Over the course of four evenings, ten participants will explore, analyse, and perform pivotal scenes from these contemporary classics, receiving tailored direction and performance feedback from one of the country’s leading theatre-makers. This is an unmissable chance to refine your performance skills, deepen your understanding of dramatic storytelling, and engage with rich, character-driven Australian writing.

Designed for committed actors eager to challenge themselves, this intensive is a must for those looking to elevate their craft in a professional, collaborative environment. Places are limited—book now to secure your spot!

Places are  reserved on a first come, first served basis. This Intensive is recommended for those pursuing a career in theatre.
