In 2025, Red Stitch artists will be facilitating a range of acting and theatre-making incursions for schools. From 90 min express workshops, to week long immersions, our professional actors and creatives are ready to share their tools of the trade with your passionate students. Tailor made to fit your areas of study and interest, offerings include: Ensemble building, Creating and performing solo work, Performing Contemporary Text, Performing Shakespeare, Preparing for Drama school auditions and more. A bespoke workshop to accompany our 2025 playlisted work is also available.

This year Red Stitch will once again bring world class theatre to the stage in Melbourne, including two new Australian plays, one Australian classic and Australian premieres of some of the best new international writing. Join us at the theatre and enjoy a personal Q&A for your class.
READ WITH US
A series of rehearsed readings of VCE English and Literature prescribed plays will take place throughout 2025 at our theatre, featuring our ensemble and guest actors.

Our entire collection of new Australian plays produced through our INK program are also available to purchase through currency press or in our foyer bookshop.

All student tickets are $25. For every 10 students an accompanying teachers ticket is free. To make a booking, please click on the related show below and fill out our school booking form. Your school will be sent a reservation confirmation with details for payment. Once your payment is received your booking will be confirmed. All ticket reservations must be finalised 7 days prior to the booked performance.

Red Stitch produces an Education Pack to accompany each Schools Show production in order to aid teaching and learning. Education resources for productions will become available prior to each Schools Show performance and are emailed as a PDF.

For all new INK productions we produce a script which includes all cast, credit and creatives information and notes from both the director and playwright. These can be bought at the theatre for $22. We proudly partner with Currency Press for the beautiful publishing of these scripts.

After each Wednesday/Thursday matinee and on a selected Thursday night in a schools season, we hold a short Q&A with cast, crew and creatives post-show for students to get a further behind the scenes understanding of the world of the play. Get the chance to revisit and revise the play with access to archival footage. After you have come to see a schools production you have access to watch the play all over again for a fee. Access to the archive footage will be available for 24 hours. More information coming soon.
