PLAYlist is a site-specific spectacle of music and new writing that expands the community of our big little theatre. Join the ensemble and our extraordinary line-up of guest artists for a one-night-only celebration at the historic Trades Hall.

Each room harbours a song. Each song sparks a play. Then it’s over, before you know it. PLAYlist invites audiences to explore the space, experiencing a different play with a different song and rubbing shoulders with actors and musicians as they move through each room.

From a mermaid couple in crisis to supermarket turf wars; from a million versions of a single conversation to disconcerting visions of the future, unique and fascinating corners of the venue will host brand new original short plays inspired the theme “Think Again.”

As Red Stitch ventures northside to share our “big little theatre” love –  thanks to our friends at Melbourne Fringe and Trades Hall – PLAYlist will bring together some of Melbourne’s finest creative talent. The line-up includes:
