Mary Anne’s play Broken won the 2016 Victorian Prize for Literature, Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Drama and 2018 NT Chief Minister’s Book of the Year. Highway of Lost Hearts co-won the 2016 NT Chief Minister’s Book of the Year. Four of Mary Anne’s plays have won NT Literary Awards for Best Script [Dragons 2010, Broken 2014, Cusp 2018, One More Hour 2019], and her screenplay Hopetown won the 2012 Birch, Carrol and Coyle Award for Best Screenplay at the NT Literary Awards. Nominations for her work include two Nick Enright Awards [NSW Literary Awards, 2016 and 2018], the Griffin Theatre Award, and a Stage AWGIE.
