PRODUCTION INFORMATION

How do you grieve someone’s loss when your only hope is for their return?

A young boy is separated from his mother and goes missing in Disneyland. Adrift in the artificial world of giant mice and noisy parades, no-one can account for what happened in the seven frantic hours before he’s found. Years later his life seems normal, but something about that day haunts him; something remains unresolved. And then, he disappears again…

Inspired by a real event, this lyrical and provocative play explores the infinite unknowns surrounding missing persons and the fog which engulfs those left behind.

“It’s a daring piece, both formally and thematically, and there is simply no one who could bring it to fruition better than director Alyson Campbell. The cast are brilliant, heartbreakingly so. Riveting and profound about the ways we choose to connect.” ★★★★

“Through its rhythmic interweaving of narratives, Colder creates an experience that is haunting and thought-provoking. If you are looking for a challenging production that plays with language and leaves you pondering as you walk away from the theatre, this one’s for you.
