TICKETING

Where do I collect my tickets from?
Red Stitch provides you with the ease of eTickets sent straight to your email. eTickets will be emailed 3 days prior to the date of your play. Tickets purchased within 3 days of your play will be sent immediately. eTickets are sent via email and can be displayed and scanned directly from a smart phone, so there’s no need to print your tickets. To assist us in making your visit to the theatre a smooth one, please make sure that you have your smart phones screen brightness at a maximum for scanning on entry.

Can I return or exchange my tickets?
Tickets are non-refundable. Exceptions may occur in extenuating circumstances, at the discretion of Red Stitch management. If you are unable to attend a performance due to illness an exchange may be granted. Exchanges, where permissible, are subject to conditions and fees. Please see our guide to TICKETING TERMS & CONDITIONS for more information.

What if I need to change my ticket/s for another date?
Exchanges from one performance date/time to another are allowed when requested during Box Office opening hours (Monday - Friday, 10am-4pm (AET)) and at least 8 hours ahead of the advertised performance start time.

PERFORMANCES

What time do performances start?
Remember to check your venue and the time of your performance on your order confirmation email or the production page on our website.  Performances begin at slightly different times across our two venues and on certain days of the week.

When should I arrive?
We encourage you to arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of the performance start time.

What happens if I am running late for a performance?
Being late affects performers and the rest of the audience. Where possible, we attempt to establish a suitable latecomers entry point, but we advise audiences not to rely on this. We reserve the right to admit latecomers during a suitable break in the performance and to a different seat.

Latecomers are not entitled to a ticket refund or exchange unless as outlined in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice. Exceptions may occur at our discretion. For more information see our full TERMS & CONDITIONS.

What are your policies about photography and recording?
The use of photographic and recording equipment of any kind is prohibited inside the theatre. This is because each show’s content is protected under intellectual copyright along with its respective set and costume designs. It is also a disturbance to the performers and fellow audience members.

Where can I find any warnings for shows?
We endeavour to publish any content warnings for all our shows to give you an idea of what to expect, and we do our best to keep this information up-to-date throughout rehearsals as the show takes shape. We do our best to advise of warnings well in advance, but it’s important to be aware that things may change at the last minute. When appropriate, warning signs are also posted outside the entry doors into the theatre along with pre-show announcements.

Where can I find the running time for a production?
When confirmed, the running time for each show will be posted on the individual production pages. This may not be available until just prior to previews commence. If a production is a new piece of writing, and is in the process of development, we are often unable to publish a confirmed running time until previews have begun.

Do you sell programs?
Red Stitch programs for all shows excluding INK World Premieres are available at the Box Office from one hour before each performance. These are sold by gold coin donation. Scripts for new INK works are sold for $22.00 and include the show’s program. For these shows a Cast & Crew slip will also be available.

Can I connect with Red Stich on social media?
We’d love to hear about your Red Stich experience and your thoughts on the performance you just attended. Connect with us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and help spread the word.

EATING & DRINKING

When does the bar open?

Can I eat and drink in the theatre?
We permit cold drinks in the theatre, and we ask that you transfer them into a plastic container before entering the theatre.  Plastic glasses are available from the bar in the theatre foyer. Ice creams & snacks are not allowed inside the theatre as a curtesy to the performers.

Where can I eat before the show?
Red Stitch St Kilda is enviously positioned in walking distance to Windsor’s Chapel Street dining precinct and a short drive from St Kilda’s famous Acland and Fitzroy Streets. Red Stitch Cromwell Road is within walking distance of numerous dining options on both Malvern Road and Chapel Street Prahran.
