Tim Potter

Tim is an award winning actor, screen writer and commercial director. A graduate from the VCA, Tim was selected to join Red Stitch in the inaugural year of the company’s Graduate Programme in 2008. Alongside his work at Red Stitch, he’s worked with numerous main stage theatre companies, including the Malthouse Theatre and the Melbourne Theatre Company. Some of his most recent film and television appearances include; Wentworth, It’s A Date, Twenty Something, Legally Brown, House Husbands, Upper Middle Bogan, Winners & Losers, Ronnie Chieng: International Student, Newton’s Law, Utopia and the feature films Now Add Honey and Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge. Tim also appeared in the ongoing role of Gus Hawting, in the critically acclaimed ABC series, Dr Blake Murder Mysteries.

Tim has written and co-produced a number of award winning short films, including Lemonade Stand, which was awarded the winning film at Tropfest Film Festival. Lemonade Stand has since featured at numerous International film festivals, including the Tropfest All Stars Competition in Las Vegas. Tim has also written for Gristmill’s ABC3 series, Little Lunch, and is currently developing his first television series. Tim is also a successful commercial director and is represented by The Otto Empire.
