Jean Goodwin

Associate Accent & Dialect Coach

Associate Dialect Coach Jean Goodwin has been working in collaboration with Red Stitch throughout 2017. She has worked on The Realistic Jones, Incognito, The Way Out and desert 6:29pm.

Jean works specifically with the integration of dialect and character development for performance. She focuses her work on the relationship between Actor and Dialect, Dialect and character.

She works one on one with actors preparing for a role and as a consultant for productions in the process of creating a performance work.

Jean is also an Actor and has a Bachelor of Dramatic Arts (Acting) from The Victorian College of the Arts, Company 2012 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in Theatre Practice specialising in Dialect and Sociolinguistic’s also from the Victorian College of the Arts, 2017, where she studied under the guidance of mentors Leith McPherson and Geraldine Cook.
