Chiara Wenban

2024 Hansen Graduate Designer

Chiara Wenban is a Naarm/Melbourne-based multidisciplinary designer, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Production) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), specialising in set, lighting and costume design. Chiara is passionate about creating innovative scenography through collaboration, with sustainability and intersectionality as integral aspects of her practice.

Chiara’s credits include Set Designer for Heathers: The Musical and Lighting Designer for Borneo plus 3 in 2023, as well as Set and Costume Designer for Sometimes, Always, Rarely, Never in 2022.

Chiara interned with set and costume designer Matilda Woodroofe for This is Living (Malthouse Theatre) and lighting and spatial designer Jenny Hector across various projects during 2023.
