LOVESONG opening l 3 play pass available now

Categories: Company News

This week I’ve had the pleasure of sitting among packed preview audiences for Lovesong by Abi Morgan, breathing in the magic conjured by the entire creative team. This production features a live score (a Red Stitch first!). The exquisite accompaniment of Campbell Banks on cello is a delight in our space, and the actors are heartbreaking in the best sense of the word. We can’t wait to share their fine work with you.

Beyond the walls of our cosy theatre, our 2015 world premiere production of Jurassica by Dan Giovannoni began its national tour last night. The audience of 500 in Frankston were captivated, and very positive in their response. It is immensely rewarding to send this terrific Australian work out on the road, to be seen by so many communities outside inner Melbourne. So if you missed our award-winning production in 2015, you may be able to catch it in one of the tour venues near you. Scroll down to check tour dates and venues.

Find out more details about Jurassica through our touring partner Critical Stages here.

Look forward to seeing you at the theatre,

Ella Caldwell
