A message from Ella Caldwell, our new Artistic Director.
On behalf of the ensemble, I am thrilled to invite you to a work that we are all very excited about. Arguably one of the best international plays to come out of 2011, Foxfinder by Dawn King.
Foxfinder is a stunning new work and we relish the opportunity to bring you the Australian premiere season. A wonderfully talented bunch have come together for the production. Director Kat Henry returns to team with creatives Peter Mumford (Resident Set Designer),Amelia Lever Davidson (Lighting Design), David Maloy (Sound Designer) and Rohan Maloy (Stage Management) to create what promises to be a beautiful, surprising and haunting night of theatre. The excellent cast include founding member and former Red Stitch Artistic Director David Whiteley, who will star alongside ensemble members Matthew Whittyand Rosie Lockhart, and special guest actress Jo Trentini.
We are also introducing some fantastic ticket deals this month, with an under 30’s ticket option for $25. And we have expanded our student rush tickets ($15 when purchased at box office before the show) to include industry rush for MEAA members. These are of course subject to availability. Our regular ticket and concession prices remain at their usual excellent value.
We also have a fantastic new foyer, and as Foxfinder plays at Red Stitch by night, rehearsals begin by day for the hilarious Straight by DC Moore. But more of that later…
See you at the theatre!
